IPSE, means “self”, “interiority”.
For philosophers, it was important to know oneself as evidenced by Socrates’ famous “Know thyself,” which in Latin is “nosce te ipsum.
This quest for interiority has thus been inscribed in Man for centuries, and taken up by St. Augustine in his Confessions. He calls it the quest for the Sublime an interior process in which Man recognizes in the depths of his being the living presence of the One who constitutes him: the Christ.
For us, IPSE is above all a quest for interiority through music.
This interiority leads us to welcome Christ.
